Our Favorite Professional Photos From Disney World!...

This morning's blog post is (almost) all of our favorite professional photos taken at Disney World.  We purchased the Photo Pass and I'm So glad we did.  The only bummer is I am missing one set of photos that were the most important ones to me.  I bought Gavin and Brian Mickey Mouse hats with their names and had this vision before we even got to Disney for a photo.  I envisioned a photo of Brian from behind wearing his hat... with Gavin's hat sitting next to him.  This is the one I took that I knew could be better taken by one of the professionals...
Figures that this is the set that is missing - of ALL the photos!!  I have a note into Disney and I'm hoping they will locate them.  Fingers crossed!

Enjoy the rest of the photos!  If you click on the first one, you can then scroll through them larger in slide show format.
On the Buzz Lightyear Ride, I didn't realize that there would be a camera taking pictures DURING the ride.  I was busy taking pictures of Ed and Brian who were across from us!!  Ha ha!  As an aside, it is important to note that even while taking pictures I still managed to beat Sara's score.  Just sayin'...
We were told to make "bear claws" by the photographer...
...and then she took a cute trick shot!!  Look how Tinkerbell appeared in Brian's hand!
After asking us what our "Super G" shirts meant, the photographer decided he wanted to dedicate this "magic shot" to Gavin.
Jedi Training Academy!
Thank you to everyone at Disney for putting some much needed smiles on ALL of our faces.

  1. So glad you were able to do this.....

You are so inspiring. Part of why I follow your blog is the way you show us all how to live, even after such devastating losses in your life.

Brian is so lucky to have such great role models as parents. I've watched as you have allowed yourselves to show and feel the grief that has come with losing Gavin. That has shown Brian that it is okay to be sad. Then you do things like this past week and show him that it is also okay to be happy. You are giving him wonderful coping skills for life.

    Keep blogging! Raleigh, NC

  2. I couldn't agree more with what Anonymous said above. Thank you for opening yourself and your family to all of us "strangers" who have grown to fond of your family.

  6. You look like you had a phenomenal trip --- I'm so glad! Just a tip: Ater our last trip to WDW, we were also missing some pics. I sent an email to the PhotoPass customer service, but found that calling was a much more effective way to find the pictures and get them added to our account. The CM was so helpful and had us all squared away really quickly. I hope they are able to locate your pictures!

  7. I am glad you had a good time. However, if THOSE professional photos look like an amateur took them. I wouldn't pay for those.

  8. I wanted to let you know about how I honored your birthday request. I know it's a little late but I was waiting for the perfect timing.

I was in a Starbuck's getting some coffee. A lady walked in who you could tell was in distress. I thought of Gavin the whole time I was doing this.

I went up to her and asked her if she was OK. I paid for her coffee and pastry to pay it forward. Then we talked for a bit.

It was such an honor to be able to do that. I will do more of that in the future.

  11. Hi Kate! My family and I also just got back from a Disney vacation. I also lost a photopass w/ a picture I just knew would be great. We went to one of the photopass locations and we were able to give them the day, place, and approximate time when one of those pictures were taken. They were able to find that pic and recover the number on the card and they merged all of our pics. I'm sure they would be able to do that over the phone for you...like you said, Disney ROCKS! Thank you for sharing your journey with us. You and your family are truly inspirational!
